Summer has finally arrived in the Northwoods,. We’ve had a tremendous amount of rain which has really helped the level of the lake. Also, the late spring spawning has been slowed. The bluegills are almost done and the crappies have moved into the weeds near the shoreline. Walleyes have moved into that 10′-12′ range in the weeds. Evenings are the best time to catch a nice dinner. Northerns are aggressive as always.
Quite a few fawns have been spotted along with young ducklings and other birds.
Fourth of July activities are right around the corner. Summer is going to be in full swing in no time. It is time to reserve your week and start making those great Northwoods memories. We have some weeks available still.
